Day 3: Vancouver

The perfect combination of urban and nature, Vancouver is a hub for lovers of the great outdoors. Enjoy picturesque views of the mountains while exploring the citys local hot spots like Stanley Park, Granville Island, Gastown and more. Don’t forget to sample the best of the local culinary and cocktail scene for something truly unique. Heres how to enjoy a stop at Hollywood of the North.

Day 4: Cruising Seymour Narrows, The Inside Passage & Bella Bella

As your cruise gets underway, prepare for a thrilling transit through Seymour Narrows, a dramatic tidal channel famous for its complex currents. From there, you will enter the tranquil waters of the Inside Passage, a maze of forested islands and calm waterways. Keep your camera ready as you pass near Bella Bella, a historic First Nations community surrounded by pristine wilderness. This day is all about relaxation, fresh sea air, and watching the rugged coastline of British Columbia unfold from the comfort of the deck.

Day 5: Cruising Princess Royal Island, Grenville Channel & Great Bear Rainforests

Today you sail deep into the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest, one of the largest intact temperate rainforests on Earth. Watch the shoreline closely as you glide through the narrow, cliff-lined Grenville Channel, a stretch of water so tight it feels like you can touch the trees. You will also cruise past Princess Royal Island, legendary home of the rare, white Spirit Bear. Keep an eye out for humpback whales breaching in the fjords and bald eagles soaring above the misty canopy.

Day 6: Sitka

Step off the ship and into a unique blend of cultures in Sitka, where Tlingit indigenous heritage meets historic Russian architecture. As the former capital of Russian America, the town boasts the striking, copper-domed St. Michael’s Cathedral and the hillside totem poles of Sitka National Historical Park. Nature lovers can visit the Alaska Raptor Centre to see rescued bald eagles up close, or take a boat tour through the island-studded harbour to spot sea otters, sea lions, and brown bears

Day 7: At Sea

Take today to fully unwind and enjoy everything your premium floating resort has to offer. Treat yourself to a morning at the spa, attend an expert-led presentation on Alaskan wildlife, or find a cosy lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows to watch the North Pacific pass by. Whether you prefer fine dining, lively entertainment, or simply reading a book with a panoramic ocean view, a day at sea provides the perfect pace to recharge before reaching Southcentral Alaska.

Day 8 – 9: Anchorage

Spend your day exploring Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city and a vibrant cultural hub bordered by Chugach State Park. Discover the state’s fascinating history at the Anchorage Museum or the Alaska Native Heritage Centre
Centre, where you can experience traditional dances and dwelling replicas. If you are craving outdoor adventure, rent a bike to ride the coastal Tony Knowles Trail, or take a short drive to look for wild moose. In the evenings, dive into a thriving local food scene packed with fresh wild salmon, king crab, and award-winning craft breweries.

Day 10: Homer

Welcome to the “Halibut Fishing Capital of the World.” Homer is famously situated on Kachemak Bay and is best known for the Homer Spit, a long, narrow finger of land extending four miles into the water, lined with bustling seafood shacks, art galleries, and salty harbours. You can spend your day browsing the local boardwalks, booking a world-class deep-sea fishing charter, or taking a water taxi across the bay to explore the peaceful hiking trails and artist communities of Halibut Cove.

Day 11: Kodiak

Known as the “Emerald Isle” for its lush, green landscapes, Kodiak Island offers an authentic taste of rugged Alaska. This remote outpost is world-famous for the Kodiak brown bear, and you can opt for a flightseeing tour to spot these massive creatures in their natural habitat. Back in town, explore the island’s rich history at the Alutiiq Museum, learn about its WWII past at Fort Abercrombie State Historical Park, or watch the busy commercial fishing fleet bring in the day’s catch.

Day 12: Valdez

Tucked away at the end of a deep fjord in Prince William Sound, Valdez is a stunning mountain town surrounded by some of the tallest coastal peaks in the world. Often called the “Little Switzerland” of Alaska, it offers incredible access to dramatic waterfalls and massive glaciers. Spend your day kayaking among icebergs near the Columbia Glacier, taking a wildlife cruise to spot harbour seals and killer whales, or learning about the town’s resilient history at the Valdez Museum.

Day 13: At Sea

As your ship turns back toward the southeast, enjoy a peaceful day navigating the open waters of the Gulf of Alaska. Use this time to share photos with new friends, participate in an onboard wine tasting, or relax on deck wrapped in a warm blanket. The quiet stretches of the gulf are also fantastic for marine wildlife viewing, so keep a lookout for porpoises riding the ship’s bow waves and majestic whales on the horizon

Day 14: Cruising Hubbard Glacier

Prepare to be awestruck as your ship manoeuvres into Disenchantment Bay for a front-row seat to the colossal Hubbard Glacier. As North America’s largest tidewater glacier, it measures a staggering six miles wide and towers hundreds of feet above the water. Unlike many others, Hubbard is actively advancing, meaning you are highly likely to witness “calving” the dramatic moment when massive, apartment-building-sized chunks of blue ice crash into the sea with a sound like thunder.

Day 15: Cruising Glacier Bay

Today features a breathtaking journey through Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a crown jewel of the Inside Passage. A National Park Ranger will board the ship to guide you through this pristine ecosystem of deep fjords, snow-capped peaks, and actively calving glaciers. As you glide silently through the ice-flecked waters, keep your binoculars ready to spot mountain goats clinging to steep cliffs, sea otters floating in kelp patches, and humpback whales feeding nearby.

Day 16: Juneau

Arrive in Juneau, Alaska’s isolated capital city that is accessible only by boat or plane. The star attraction here is the massive Mendenhall Glacier, located just a short drive from downtown, where you can hike scenic trails or view roaring waterfalls. For a bird’s-eye view of the city and Gastineau Channel, ride the Gold belt Tram up Mount Roberts, or head downtown to experience a classic Alaskan salmon bake and a historic pint at the famous Red Dog Saloon.

Day 17: Wrangell

Experience a true hidden gem of the Inside Passage in Wrangell, one of the oldest towns in Alaska and the only one to have existed under four different nations. This authentic, uncrowded island community is rich in Tlingit history, which you can explore at Chief Shakes Tribal House or by viewing the mysterious ancient rock carvings at Petroglyph Beach. If you are looking for an adrenaline rush, Wrangell is also the gateway to exhilarating jet boat tours up the wild Stikine River.

Day 18: Ketchikan

Welcome to Ketchikan, proudly known as the “Salmon Capital of the World” and the ancestral home of the Tlingit and Haida people. Explore the colorful, historic boardwalks of Creek Street, which built over a bustling salmon stream and formerly served as the town’s red-light district. Ketchikan also holds the worlds largest collection of standing totem poles, which you can marvel at at Saxman Native Village or Totem Bight State Historical Park before heading into the misty local rainforests.

Day 19: Prince Rupert

Cross back into Canadian waters to visit Prince Rupert, a charming coastal city located on Kaien Island in British Columbia. Renowned for its rich cultural tapestry, you can visit the Museum of Northern British Columbia to admire world-class Indigenous art and masterfully carved artifacts. The surrounding wilderness is also famous for the Khutzey Mateen Grizzly Sanctuary, making this an incredible stop for travelers hoping to spot magnificent coastal grizzly bears or join a local whale-watching excursion.

Day 20: Scenic Cruising The Inside Passage

Your final full day onboard offers a glorious encore performance of the Inside Passage. Take a comfortable seat by the windows as the ship glides past emerald-green forests, hidden beaches, and misty lighthouses. It is a perfect day of reflection to recount your incredible Alaskan adventures, enjoy a farewell dinner, and take in one last spectacular Pacific Northwest sunset from the deck.

Day 21: Vancouver

Your unforgettable journey comes full circle as you cruise back under the Lions Gate Bridge and dock in beautiful Vancouver. Enjoy one last breakfast on board before disembarking. If you have time before your flight home, sneak in some last-minute souvenir shopping on Robson Street, take a peaceful stroll through the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, or grab a fresh coffee to toast the end of an incredible Alaskan cruise adventure.
