Day 3: Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada

Vancouver, a cosmopolitan city framed by the Pacific Ocean and the North Shore Mountains, began as a small logging settlement called Granville in the 1860s. Historically, the 1886 arrival of the transcontinental railway transformed it into a global port. Before boarding, explore the 1,000-acre Stanley Park to see iconic First Nations totem poles or visit Gastown to see the famous whistling Steam Clock. As the Disney Magic departs from Canada Place, head to the upper decks for the Mickey’s Sail-A-Wave Party, a high-energy celebration with Disney friends as you cruise under the Lions Gate Bridge.

Day 4: At Sea

Your first day at sea is the perfect time to explore the ship’s unique features, like the AquaDunk, a thrilling three-story body slide that drops you over the side of the ship. Families can enjoy the Disney Oceaneer Lab, while adults find sanctuary at the Quiet Cove Pool or the Senses Spa. Be sure to attend an enrichment talk by the onboard Naturalist to learn about the whales and eagles you’ll soon encounter. In the evening, the Walt Disney Theatre hosts Broadway-calibre shows like “Tangled: The Musical,” which is exclusive to the Disney Magic.

Day 5: Glacier Viewing (Stikine Icecap), Alaska

Today is a spectacular scenic cruising day as the ship navigates the ice-flecked waters near the Stikine Icecap. Historically, this massive ice field has shaped the rugged border between Alaska and Canada for millennia. From the deck, you can witness the thunderous “calving” of glaciers as massive chunks of blue ice crash into the sea. Keep your binoculars ready for harbour seals resting on ice floes and mountain goats on the cliffs. Onboard, characters appear in their special Alaskan outfits, and the crew serves hot cocoa and cookies as the ship rotates for a 360-degree view of the towering ice walls.

Day 6: Skagway, Alaska

Skagway was the bustling “Gateway to the Klondike” during the 1897 Gold Rush, once home to 30,000 fortune-seekers. You can still feel the frontier spirit along Broadway, where wooden boardwalks and false- Front buildings are preserved as part of a National Historical Park. A must-do is the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad, a “railway built of gold” that climbs nearly 3,000 feet past waterfalls and jagged peaks. Back in town, visit the Red Onion Saloon for a touch of colourful history or participate in a gold-panning excursion to see if you can strike it rich like the “Stampeders” of old.

Day 7: Icy Strait Point, Alaska

Icy Strait Point is a unique destination 100% owned and operated by the Huna Tlingit people. Historically, the site was a massive salmon cannery built in 1912, which has been beautifully restored into a museum and shopping centre. You can learn about the “Circle of Life” of the salmon or watch a traditional tribal dance performance. For thrill-seekers, the ZipRider is one of the world’s longest and highest zip lines, offering a breathtaking descent over the rainforest. This port is also world-renowned for whale watching, with humpbacks frequently spotted just minutes from the shore in the nutrient-rich waters of Port Frederick.

Day 8: Ketchikan, Alaska

Known as the “Salmon Capital of the World,” Ketchikan sits on the ancestral lands of the Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian people. Its history is tied to the sea and the forest, visible in the colourful, stilted houses of Creek Street, a historic boardwalk built over a salmon spawning stream. You must visit the Totem Heritage Centre to see authentic 19th-century totem poles rescued from deserted villages. For a dose of family fun, the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show features world-champion athletes competing in log rolling and axe throwing,
celebrating the rugged logging heritage that built this rainforest city.

Day 9: Day at Sea

As the Disney Magic turns south back through the Inside Passage, take this final sea day to enjoy the ship’s many “Character Experiences.” You might run into Koda from Brother Bear or join a “Frozen”-themed deck party. It’s an ideal time for a final lap on the AquaDunk or a specialized beverage tasting in the Soul Cat Lounge. Be sure to visit the Shutters Photography Shop to collect your professional photos with the glaciers and characters. Spend your evening at Animators Palate, where the restaurant magically transforms from black-and-white to full colour as you dine, celebrating the art of Disney animation.

Day 10: Vancouver (British Columbia), Canada

Your journey concludes as you return to the vibrant Vancouver harbour. Before heading to the airport, consider a final stop at Granville Island to explore the public markets, artisan foods or take a virtual flight across the country at FlyOver Canada, located right at the cruise terminal. If you have extra time, a trip to the Capilano Suspension Bridge allows you to walk through the treetops of a temperate rainforest, offering one last taste of the Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty before you say “See ya real soon” to the Disney Magic.
